1. About lytixbase

lytixbase (lytixbase.com.au) is a personal investment tracking and research platform operated by Ayush Agarwal (ABN 57 903 016 091, sole trader) based in Queensland, Australia. lytixbase is a solo-built side project currently in beta. By using the platform you acknowledge that it is under active development and may contain bugs or incomplete features.

2. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using lytixbase, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. Each account is for a single individual. Shared or multi-user access is not permitted.

4. Accounts

You sign in via Google or GitHub OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your authentication provider account. lytixbase does not store your password, only encrypted OAuth tokens and basic profile information (name, email, profile image).

New accounts may require approval before access is granted. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used in a manner that is harmful to others or the platform.

5. Free trial

New users receive a 15-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required. When your trial ends you may:

• Subscribe to a paid plan to continue using lytixbase
• Request a trial extension (granted at our discretion)
• Request deletion of all your data

Your data is preserved after trial expiry until you request deletion or subscribe.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly in Australian Dollars (AUD) via Stripe. Your subscription automatically renewseach month and you will be charged automatically at the start of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date. By subscribing you authorise these recurring charges to the payment method on file. Prices may change with 30 days' written notice.

GST

lytixbase is not currently registered for GST. Prices do not include GST. If we become required to register for GST in the future, the advertised price (currently A$12.99/month) will be treated as GST-inclusive and we will absorb the GST component. We will notify you if pricing changes as a result.

Payment processing

All payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. lytixbase never sees, stores, or has access to your credit card number or payment details. Stripe's own terms of service apply to payment processing.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal. You are not locked into any minimum term. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain full access until then. If you would like to cancel mid-cycle, contact us and we may, at our discretion, offer a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of the month.

Refunds

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new subscribers: if you cancel within 14 days of your first paid charge, you will receive a full refund, no questions asked. After that initial period, refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis and may include a pro-rata credit for the unused portion of the billing period. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If the service has a major failure, you are entitled to a refund regardless of the above policy.

7. Not financial or tax advice

lytixbase is an information and tracking tool only. Nothing on this platform constitutes financial advice, tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any investment.

Portfolio valuations, tax calculations (including CGT estimates), AI-generated analysis, market data, projections, and any other outputs are provided for informational and educational purposes only. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date.

You should always consult a qualified financial adviser or registered tax agent before making investment or tax decisions. You are solely responsible for your own financial decisions.

8. AI features

lytixbase includes AI-powered research and analysis features. AI outputs are generated by third-party language models (Anthropic, OpenAI) and may be incorrect, misleading, or outdated. AI responses do not constitute advice of any kind.

If you use the Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) feature, your API key is encrypted at rest but requests are sent directly to the relevant provider under their terms of service. lytixbase is not responsible for charges incurred on your API key.

9. Market data

Market data, prices, and financial information are sourced from yahoo-finance2, a community-maintained open-source library that queries publicly available Yahoo Finance data. This library is not created, endorsed, or supported by Yahoo Inc. and Yahoo does not provide any official API or guarantees regarding data availability or accuracy.

All market data is provided on an "as is" basis. Prices may be delayed, missing, or incorrect. Portfolio valuations, gains, losses, tax calculations, and any other derived figures depend on this data and inherit its limitations.

You must independently verify all figures before relying on them for any decision. lytixbase does not guarantee the accuracy of any market data or outputs derived from it. As the platform grows, we intend to transition to a professional licensed data provider.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use lytixbase for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform or other users' data
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract data from the platform beyond the provided API/MCP access
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the platform
• Resell or redistribute the platform or its data
• Use the platform in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service

11. Intellectual property

The lytixbase platform, its design, code, and branding are the property of Ayush Agarwal. Your data remains yours. We claim no ownership over your financial data, portfolio information, or any content you upload.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, lytixbase and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or investment returns, arising from your use of the platform.

lytixbase is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the platform is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Beta disclaimer

lytixbase is currently in beta. Features may change, be removed, or break without notice. We make reasonable efforts to maintain data integrity but cannot guarantee against data loss. You should not rely on lytixbase as your sole record of investment transactions or tax obligations.

14. Data and privacy

Your use of lytixbase is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

16. Termination

You may close your account and request deletion of all your data at any time by contacting us or using the in-app deletion request feature. We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these terms with reasonable notice where possible.

17. Dispute resolution

If you have a dispute with us, please contact support@lytixbase.com.au first. We will make a genuine effort to resolve the issue within 14 business days. If we cannot reach a resolution, either party may escalate the matter as described below.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. If informal resolution under Section 17 is unsuccessful, any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Queensland, Australia, subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
